Technicolor Shoes

Posted by

I recently ran into a bride with a sticky fashion dilemma: The white heels she ordered to arrive in time for her wedding didn't, and she wanted to wear a tan version as an alternative. I say it's a great idea to go with a shoe that doesn't match your gown, but a tan or beige one is too close to your gown's color and comes off looking like you missed the fashion mark. Try a distinctly different hue—a soft pink would look lovely, or let your shoes be your something blue. Another option is metallic shoes (like the ones modeled by our bride below), which are as versatile as a neutral but add a bit of shine to your ensemble. White is always in season, but if you choose a more colorful pair of shoes you'll get through your wedding with flying colors.

  • Wow - where is this dress from? I love it....

  • I have been looking for a soft blue heel to wear with my wedding dress-As a Something Blue, any suggestions in locating this dream shoe?

  • what if my dress is blush pink? i feel like pink heels are too much, but white will stand out sooo much!

  • I wore a slightly metalic champagne/gold sandle with crystals when I got married. My dress was antique ivory with champagne lace and beading; the shoes blended perfectly not only with my dress, but they blend with many skintones.

  • Who makes this dress?

  • i think this is a great idea. ive been thinking of getting a turquoise heel to go w/ my white dress. i think it will fly..! :) )
