Here’s one of my favorite ideas for your wedding’s reception: Set up a boardwalk-style photo booth next to the guestbook.  Guests can visit the booth during the reception and snap as many shots as they like (serious or silly!). When the pictures pop out, they snip off one (or two!), stick it in the guestbook, and write a sweet greeting next to it. We like NYC Photobooth, but you can find booths across the country. (Here’s one site to find out where.)

  • Hi Darcy,
I absolutely love the photo booth idea! I'm a photographer in Southern California, (http://www.amandabevington.com) and I love to shoot weddings. Many of my brides love this trend in photo-booth style "guest documentary" - so we are offering what we call the MOD PHOTO STUDIO, as a cool way for us as photographers, to document guests at the wedding, without the cumbersome "booth." Our clients are really loving it!!! For a little sample, check out Kelly Galvin-Robson & Dave Robson's recent wedding: (http://amandabevington.wordpress.com/2007/10/25/kelly-daves-gorgeous-wedding-day/) (scroll to the bottom of the entry to see the MOD PHOTO STUDIO. By the way, Kelly is an interior designer at Burnham Design (http://www.burnhamdesign.com/) in LA, where she is the Director of Instant Space, a concept recently featured in Domino Magazine. Kelly's wedding design was so beautiful & this week her wedding is featured on Style Court http://www.stylecourt.blogspot.com/. I know that she is definitely inspired by you and your work...as am I! Thanks for sharing all of your amazing ideas & inspiration!!! Sincerely, Amanda Bevington

  • Hi Darcy,
We used NYCPhotobooth for a family party and it was a huge hit. Having a photobooth at the party was a great decision. The best part was getting the fabulous album afterwards. It really brings it to a whole new level.
We actually have an InfoCast™ all about what they do on our Marketplace page if anyone would like to listen to it.

  • As a photographer myself, this was at the top of my list of things I've wanted for my own wedding. It's definitely a personal statement and such fun entertainment for our guests.

  • My husband is in the process of helping me construct a photo booth. I think they're great!
