Ladybugs, long a symbol of good fortune, make sweet accents on your wedding day. At Martha Stewart Weddings, we’ve tucked a faux ladybug into a bouquet, and piped one on a cake. To share these lucky charms with your guests, I suggest sending them home with John & Kira’s Little Ladybug Gems. The handmade artisan chocolates are filled with delectable ganache; red bugs are flavored with raspberry, green ones, mint, and yellow, honey lavender. All are made with ingredients from local and family farms and the company—founded by husband-and-wife team John and Kira Doyle—supports community projects, such as an urban school garden program in West Philadelphia. Doing good has never tasted so delightful.

I bought these John & Kira ladybugs for my fiance for his birthday this past year since I was out of town at the time. They were delivered on the day I requested and in great condition. They came packaged in a huge box that was insulated with a cooling pack which came in handy with our warm climate.
He loved them. They came in a wooden box, each was unique since they are hand-painted, and they were pretty yummy. The big selling points for me were the organic ingredients and small-farm sources.

How fabulous! And I think we might share an alma mater -- they were featured in the Middlebury Magazine a few years back. All the better for my wedding in Vermont next summer. Thank you!
