When we were looking for gowns to feature on the Today show this morning we sought out four with distinct silhouettes. The shapes we chose—sheath, mermaid, A-line, and ball gown—would all look amazing on Jessica.
The ribbon sash on this V-neck Monique Lhuillier sheath would work beautifully with Jessica and Cody’s wedding palette, which includes pinks.
I loved the ruched back on this strapless Melissa Sweet frock. It has a row of tiny buttons running down the center. The bolero is a nice touch for a fall wedding. (Jessica and Cody’s is in October—it’s certainly sneaking up on us!)
This cotton-tulle and layered-organza Lela Rose dress would be perfect for a daytime wedding. As I pointed out this morning, the beaded organza flowers on the skirt are hand embroidered, so this truly is a special piece.
I wish you could have seen this Reem Acra gown up close! Of course the full skirt is gorgeous, but the hand-pleated neckline and the intricately hand-beaded bodice were beyond stunning. All shoes were provided by The Wedding Library.
After checking out the dresses, we posed for an a impromptu photo op. From the left, Natalie Morales, Jessica, me, and Tim Gunn. (I’m in love with the necklace I wore! Sadly, I had to give it back.)
The beautiful bouquets wait in the wings before the show.
Don’t forget to vote for your favorite dress before next week’s segment. (In my opinion though, they’re all winners!)

I am sorry, but most brides in the real world are not that skinny. It isn't even healthy. I am disappointed. While this blog is beautiful, I will not continue to visit unless there are more realistic portrayals of brides and thought to their budgets.

Jessica looks beautiful and healthy... and that smile is killer! I really hope American picks the gown she likes best. I drooled over the Monique Lhuillier!

i agree... the models are too skinny to make the dresses look realistic on anyone that eats more than an apple a day. it would be nice to see some varying body types showing the dresses so more people could have a better understanding of how it might look on them.
